Stainless Steel Control Valves

Hydraulic and Industrial Hose and Fittings

At Universal Supplies (Clydesdale) Ltd we are able to supply hydraulic and pneumatic valves in Glasgow and the rest of the UK. Precision engineered in 316L stainless steel or LG4 bronze, these valves provide excellent internal and external corrosion resistance.

Pressure and flow regulators are fitted with Viton seals, and spool valves offer a range of actuators and pressure, diaphragm and solenoid pilots for signals and switching.

The range of flameproof solenoid valves and operators provides protection to T6 classification (the highest order specified by the BASEEFA/CENELEC approval authorities.

The valves are made in 316L/S12 low carbon stainless steel, meeting the requirements of operators in oil, gas and chemical industries. The mechanical condition of the stainless steel conforms with NACE specification MR-01-75.

Flow, check and needle valves are suitable for 35 bar pressure normal pneumatic operations with a 7 bar maximum pressure limitation when a resilient check ball is fitted for bubble tight sealing. On hydraulic application the maximum working pressure is 350 bar.

Viton seals are used throughout to cover sour gas applications and temperature ranges from -15°C. Special seals are available for various temperatures and applications.

The adjustable pressure pilot actuator offers the combined operation of pressure switch action with directional air valve control. The adjustable pilot valve would sense the hazardous change in air pressure via the signal pilot line and either switch, shut off, lock in, or exhaust the main air pressure passing through the main valve.

The adjustable pilot valve is designed for pressure settings between 2.5 bar and 10 bar and can be fitted to all 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” valve sizes.

The units have 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2” NPT inlet and outlet ports with 1/8” NPT ports for gauge fitment and venting on self-relieving models. The manual drain has an 1/8” NPT port to permit the fitting of a sealed pipe system for the removal of contaminants, and the unique valve design obviates the necessity to remove the drain pipe to open the drain. The rugged design of the filter bowl reduces the risk of breakdown through mechanical damage. However, all units can be serviced in situ.

Mounting brackets and stainless steel pressure gauges are available as optional extras.

Flameproof electrical parts in accordance to European Standards CENELEC Nos. EN50014 and EN50018.

Valves are used in hazardous areas eg within oil and gas industry where explosive atmospheres of temperature classes T1 to T5 are found.

Body and actuator sub assemblies are mounted together to become the complete valve that is custom selected to answer the exact required specification.

Full flow capability ensures suitability with rotary or linear actuator systems. Compact size will allow the valves to be used for logic sequencing needed in control and instrument panels.

Valves are in 315L stainless steel to ensure corrosion resistance both internally and externally. Viton seals as standard afford total leak free service and reliability.

Combination actuators using pilot overrides and latches are available for emergency control systems to ensure that reinstatement of control signals will reactive the valves until manually reset. Padlocks can be fitted to lock the system in any required mode.
